 Hello everyone,

Do you like superheroes? Who are your favourite male and female superheroes?

Think about the difference between male and female superheroes?

Are there gender diffrences in portrayals of characters in superhero movies/films?

Superheroes are everywhere. Where can we find them?

Film, games, stickers, lunch boxes, school supplies, toys, bedclothes, furniture (chair, tables), bins, carpets, rugs, stickers, tattoos,

What diversity in superhero renditions?

Let's sing this Superhero song., costumes, caps...

Black lives matter. StopRacism. Martin Luther King I.

Hello everyone,

Do you think we still have black inequality?
Do you know people who have defended equality? What have they done?
I am very sad due to the events of USA and we must continue dealing with this issue everywhere.

Here we can see a picture of some of my students talking about Martin Luther King.
What do you know about him? Listen to Marta, Leyre and Cristina.

They learnt how to create a concept map using Popplet and recorded this video:

This is something I wrote about Racism in sports after Samuel Eto'o decided to leave the football course due to racist insults in 2004.

Our pen pals, ALEX OTTO ADAM HUGO NATHAN, also wrote us about their role models:

Our friends have done this presentation for us to talk about their role models.
We have done the same so we can compare both now and discover important facts.

What is a role model?
A role model is someone you look up to. They normally inspire you.
One of our penpal's role model is Nelson Mandela.
Do you know why? Read this presentation to find it out.

This is their presentation for us.

Our famous people/ Role Models

Hello everyone,
Some students have done this presentation about their  famous people.
Each student created a google text document following a chart and shared it with me (the teacher) to revise the work.
Then they had to surf the web to search information about their famous person and complete the chart.
After that they had to fill in the information following the structures.
Finally, they had to insert an image of the famous person. They could only use a page for all the information and pic.
When each student had finished the document, then a coordinator created a presentation and divided the slides for the rest of the members complete the information. Two slides were available for each student, but more than one pic could be inserted this time.
This is a way to integrate the language using TICs.
Our English pen pals are also working the same topic which they will send to us when the finished.

Will they have similar or different role models?

This is the result of the work.

Past simple: Regular and irregular verbs. Examples. Role models.

Hello everyone,
Who are your role models? Let me introduce some role models because I have a lot.

Their names are Ainara, Paula, Andrea and Oscar year 6 and 5 students, who get up very early and love learning new things in the school. Every day they come at 8.40 and help his teacher (me) at the ICT room.

They do a lot of things: they plug in the power cord, clean the screens, update the operative system, scan the laptops to avoid malware, tidy the room and when they have spare time they create documents like this to help other students to consolidate theur knowledge about regular and irregular verbs used in the classroom. They also record videos for their British friends to learn Spanish, do cards when a boy or a girls is ill, hang our pieces of work on the school notice board, classify the cards, tick the contacts to create groups. Did you know that they are always kind, polite and helpful? They are brilliant role models for other students.

They have also included some sentences to help them understand this tense.
Above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks a lot for such a valuable work. I feel proud of you.

Remember to praise people when they dedicate their time.

Click here to check their work.

Watch this video about the past and do the activities if you can.

Oscar loves Beatles, I dedicate this song called "Let it be" to celebrate the International Day for the Eliminatio of Violence against Women.

Essena O'Neli Social Media Depression short film.

Hello everyone,
How fake is your life online? Do you know Essena O'Neil. She is a 19-year-old model from Queensland, Australia. She had more than 600,000 Instagram fans following her, but she stopped using social media because she felt miserable and with serious problems. She  deleted her Instagram account and decided to leave the life of a viral media star.
She said: "Having it all on social media means nothing absolutely to your real life".

REMEMBER: Social media is what you make of it: good or bad. You mustn't link your self-esteem to the attention you are receiving from putting your INSTAGRAM profile on the internet.

Watch this video which producer Kerith Lemon explores in a short film which got an Award winning.  Think about it and talk to other friends and teachers about it.

Our role models.

Hi everyone,
Our students have finished their work about their role models and they are going to share it with their English pen pals. After that, we are going to compare theirs and ours, similarities and differences.

Where is your role model from?
What does he/she look like?
How old is he?
When is his/her birthday?
Why do you look up to him/her?

Have you got any role models? Who are they? Why do you look up to them?

They have also translated some of their presentations.

Nuestros ídolos.
