 Hello everybody,

Do you know the Irish legend of the powerful gian Finn McCool? The story is about two giants who were enemies and hate each other.

Picture: Devianart

The Irish legend say that two giants, Finn McCool and Benandonner, created the "Giant's Causeway" by moving these enormous rocks to build a bridge of rocks  between Northern Ireland and Scotland.

Finn McCool lived a quiet life on the Northern Ireland Coast.

Finn walked across the causeway the causeway to Scotland to fight Benandonner but when he saw him he was really frightened and ran back home quickly because Benandonner was bigger, taller and stronger.

Benandonner went to Finn's house to battle Finn McCool. Finn's wife, Oonagh, han a fantastic plan.

She dressed Finn up as a baby and put him into their son's cot. Then there was a loud banging on the door! "Where's Finn?" Benanndoner demanded, "I want to battle with him now", he said.

When Benandonner saw the huge baby, he was very scared.

He did not want to see the huge baby's father.

Bennandoner left and never bothered Finn McCool again.

Myths and legends: The tradition of the castle cat in Belfast.

 Hello everyone,

Do you know the story of the castle cat in Belfast?

Have a look at these pictures:

What can you see?

I like the story about the cats.

The Donegall family lived in this castle and they were the owners of this beautiful castle. It was said that the family always had a white cat. However, the castle was donated to the city of Belfast. Then they couldn't keep the tradition of having a white cat at the castle to bring good luck to all the visitors.

Then they decided to maintain that tradition of the white cat and the good luck with nine cats in the garden.

Are you a cat lover? Have you got a pet?

It's important to take care of our pets.
