Hello everyone,
We are studying the comparative and superlative adjectives. Superlative adjectives use the definite article the, which is the most frequent word in English.
- We use the definite article with a superlative adjective:
The dog is the most cheerful animal in the Chinese zodiac.
- We also use the definite article in front of a noun when we believe the hearer/reader knows exactly what we are referring to.
Let's revise the different types of articles: Definite and indefinite.
