Super Pink Moon.

Hello everybody,
On the night of April 7-8 (tonight) you shouldn't miss the biggest supermoon of the year also known as "Super Pink Moon". The moon will appear brighter and bigger in the nigh sky.

It happens when the first full moon spring coincides with the moment the moon is at the closest point to the Earth.
Look at this picture and compare Micro Moon (Furthest distance) and Super Moon (Closest distance).
A reduction in air pollution is a positive fact to see it better.

Think about this:
Why is the moon visible tonigh?
Why it's called "Pink moon"?
Why has it got different colours?
Watch this video and find it out.

It is the winter solstice in the Northern hemisphere and the summer solstice in the Southern hemisphere.
For the next six months the days will gradually lengthen.
Let's revise some vocabulary related to winter.

I'm a little snowman.

Little snowflake.

Fun winter song.
