We have learnt a lot of things we did not know about different countries.

Erika has investigated about her mum's country, Bolivia.
Did you know that they speak Spanish, Aymara, Quechua, Chiquitano, Tupi Guaraní...
All of them are important for people who speak them.

Rosabel has done "The Netherlands". Did you know that they speak Dutch, Papiamento, English, Frisian.

World Paella Day

Hello everyone,
Did you celebrate World Paella Day last Thursday?

Picture:

Paella is Spain's most famous dish but do you know what a paella is?
The word paella refers to the pan where it is cooked which has got different diameters depending on the portions. There are also a lot of varieties: fish, meat, vegetables,... It was born in rural areas between fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
I love fish and you?
What is your favourite style?
Who can cook paella in your family?
What ingredients do they use?
How do they cook it?
Where do they cook it?
Have you got a recipe?
The most famous dishes are Paella Valenciana, Seafood paella and Vegetable Paella.

This song tells us how to cook a delicious paella.

My students had a really good time singing the song played by Toni el de l'hostal, @tonidelhostal, "la Paella".
It was great and it allowed us to revise food vocabulary and learn new "sayings" in Valencian language "Qui guisa salat guisa pel gat i qui guisa dolç guisa per molts" o "A la taula i al llit al primer crid". Do you know other?
