Pancake Day and Shrove Tuesday

Gina's clip talks about interesting facts which are related to Pancake Day.




I live in a small village called Sant Joan d'Alcant, in Alicante, Spain and some people eat a kind of paella rice called "Arroz con costra" (rice with crust) the day before Ash Wednesday. It has got beaten egg on the rice. It's a typical dish in the  town of Elx and also in Pego, both in the province of Alicante.
Do you usually eat anything special the day before Ash Wednesday? Have you got any traditions?
