Hello everyone,
Year 4 students talk about their school subjects, teachers and classmates. This activities keep learners motivated and inspired at the same time they improve their skills. They are also very useful for out-of-class listening practise as students should participate in their own learning as much as possible.
We will share this with our pen pals using Twitter.
Claudia loves school. And you?
What is your favourite subject?
Are you good at English?
Listen to Year $ A students talk about their School.
Three students have also recorded their mini books.
Hello everyone,
This post is about the meaning of FOMO? FOMO stands for "Fear of Missing out".
A lot of people are having or experiencing FOMO (Spanish) and it's becoming a big problem not only for young people but also adults. It can cause people feel sad, envious because they have to check their social feeds obsessively. Let's watch this funny video and discuss in small groups.
Some people experience social media addiction as they have to keep a social link to the group chat to show to the rest of the members that they are interested in being part of the group. Then having near-constant access to our friends or family via WhatsApp can be dangerous.
Read these questions carefully and think about them.
How often do you check your WhatsApp?
Is it the first thing you look at in the morning and last thing at night?
How often do you update your status?
Do you wait for messages to come in?
Do you sometimes pop to the loo or similar things to check in on your WhatsApp?
How much attention do you pay to your group WhatsApp thread?
It's important to teach our children how to use the internet safely. Children don't know a lot about viruses, phishing, online privacy and this kind of security issue.
One of the key aspects is to start the process of debating online health and safety with our students and children at an early age.
Hello everyone,
We are going to celebrate Healthy week in our school next week and we want to contribute to it.
How much time do you spend on the internet? Do you think you spend too much time?
Do you know what screen time is? It's any time spent in front of a digital screen.
Think about devices you use which have got a digital screen.
How much time do you spend on the internet? Do you think it's too much?
Should you reduce it? How can a person reduce it? Talk to your classmates about it.
How important are life experiences for you? Can you think of activities you can do with friends or alone?
What's the matter if we spend too much time online?
Remember that it's very important to set rules in relation to Internet time limits.
Hello everyone,
Last week we celebrated Valentine's Day and we did some activities. We have created a Spotify and Youtube playlist for you to add your favourite love songs. Remember that your songs must show lyrics (youtube playlist) as we can learn them easier. Thank you very much for your help.
Hello everyone,
Do you like word clouds? We can do different activities using them.
We have listened to three songs about Peace and Love. After that we have written down on a piece of paper as many words as we were able to. Finally we have used Word Art to create our word cloud.
We have done this activity for School Day on Non-Violence and Peace and Valentine's Day.
We want students to generate understanding of the concepts Peace and Love and revise vocabulary related to this topic.
Hello everyone,
Today is Safer Internet Day and it is celebrated globally on Tuesday 6th February with the slogan:
