Hello everyone,
I have selected some pictures from @AntiBullyingPro which show us some aspects we have thought about in the classroom. When you witness violence, speak up and take action against violent attitudes.

Christina of Norway. History.

Hello everyone,
Do you know the story of Christina of Norway?
She was the daughter of Hakon IV and his wife Margrete Skuledotter.  She was born in Bergen in 1234 and she married Philip, brother of Alfonso X of Castile, called "El sabio". She lived in Castile until her death four years later.
Christina and more than 100 people left Norway in the summer of 1257, after crossing the North Sea, she crossed the English Channel to Normandy. Then she continued her journey across France on horseback to Catalonia. There she met King Jame I, whose daughter was married Alfonso X of Castile.

Look at this map and think about the route she took.

Listen to this song called "El lamento de kristina".

Do you know why she was sad and died after four years? Who did she marry? Why?

Where did Celts live?

Hello everybody,
We are studying different type of houses. Some of them are made of wood, stone, mud, ice, paper, iron... Houses can also be many different shapes and sizes.
Look at this house. Is it different from your house?
Do you know who lived there?

The walls of the houses are made of mud and other materials and the roof is made of straw or heather.

Why do you think they used straw? The roof has got a hole in the middle. What did they use it for?
