Miguel de Cervantes and Don Quixote

Hello everybody,
Don Quixote is a Spanish novel written by Miguel de Cervantes which was published in 1905 and 1615. It is one of the most important works of the Spanish literature that's why Spanish is called "La lengua de Cervantes".





















Miguel de Cervantes was a Spanish writer born in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, around 1547. This year 2016 marks the IV century of the death of Miguel de Cervantes and this year is dedicated to his death.
On April 22, 1616, Cervantes died in Madrid at the age of sixty-eight. This event is remembered around the world.


Don Quixote decided to become a knight in search of adventure and justice.  He rides an exhausted horse called Rocinante and his lady love is Dulcinea del Toboso.
Don Quixote's squire is called Sancho Panza who agreed to serve him and become his servant. Sancho rode a donkey.
