Thanksgiving Day or Turkey Day.

Hello everybody,
Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in the United States today and it's traditionally a day for families and friends to get together for a special meal.

It's a time for many people to give thanks for what they have. Some people have a four-day weekend so they visit family and friends.

It is always celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November and it precedes Black Friday, often regarded as the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

Thanksgiving is also celebrated in Canada but on the second Monday in October.
