David Beckam: Violence can mark children forever.

Hello everyone,
UNICEF has released this new film featuring Goodwill Ambassador David Beckam to illustrate that physical and psychological abuse can mark children forever.
Children should be safe everywhere: home, school, online and in their communities.

Beckham said: “When I launched my 7 Fund with UNICEF, I made a commitment to do everything I can to make the world a safer place for children and to speak out on issues that are having a devastating impact on children’s lives. One of those issues is violence. Every five minutes, somewhere in the world, a child dies from violence. Millions more are in danger of physical, emotional and sexual abuse that could destroy their childhoodsforever.

Last year I visited Cambodia with UNICEF where I met and listened to children tell me about terrible violence they have experienced. I was shocked by what I heard and I saw how violence can leave deep and lasting scars. No child should have to endure this. Yet in all corners of the world, in their homes, schools and on their streets, children are suffering similar violence. I hope this new project will draw attention to this urgent issue and inspire action. Violence against children is wrong and together we need to end it.”

John Lennon: Imagine. UNICEF.

Hello everybody,
Christmas is around the corner and Imagine is one of the famous songs written by John Lennon.
Its lyrics encourage to imagine a world at peace.
Last year UNICEF wanted to prove John Lennon was not the only one to imagine, the goal was to change a child's life with your voice.

Would you like to share your own recording of Lennon's classical song with friends and family and encourage others to perform imagine too?
"A dream you dream alone may be a dream, but a dream two people dream together is a reality", Yoko Ono said.

Past simple: Regular and irregular verbs. Examples. Role models.

Hello everyone,
Who are your role models? Let me introduce some role models because I have a lot.

Their names are Ainara, Paula, Andrea and Oscar year 6 and 5 students, who get up very early and love learning new things in the school. Every day they come at 8.40 and help his teacher (me) at the ICT room.

They do a lot of things: they plug in the power cord, clean the screens, update the operative system, scan the laptops to avoid malware, tidy the room and when they have spare time they create documents like this to help other students to consolidate theur knowledge about regular and irregular verbs used in the classroom. They also record videos for their British friends to learn Spanish, do cards when a boy or a girls is ill, hang our pieces of work on the school notice board, classify the cards, tick the contacts to create groups. Did you know that they are always kind, polite and helpful? They are brilliant role models for other students.

They have also included some sentences to help them understand this tense.
Above and beyond the call of duty. Thanks a lot for such a valuable work. I feel proud of you.

Remember to praise people when they dedicate their time.

Watch this video about the past and do the activities if you can.
