Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Saint Patrick is most famous patron saint of Ireland. He was a bishop a he brought Christianity to Ireland. Irish people around the world celebrate Saint Patrick's Day, the 17th March.






















People wear the colours of the Irish flag: green, white and orange. A lot of people usually wear shamrocks. It is said that Saint Patrick used the shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to Irish pagans.















Saint Patrick's Day is a bank holiday in Ireland. There is a big festival in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, to mark this day. There's also a large parade in Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. Other cities also organise big events to celebrate this day. This is Chicago river.
