Father's day in Spain and "Falles" in Valencia.

Hi everyone,
Today is Father's Day in Spain and it has got special relevance in the Valencian Community as Saint Joseph is Patron of the capital, Valencia.  Saint Joseph is also the patron saint of carpenters.

This city also celebrates its "Falles" in commemoration of the Patron. The term "Falles" refers to both the celebration and the monuments created.

This monument is called "Falla". Each "Falla" has got different "Ninots" (puppets) and some of them are over 30 m. high. They in some way satirise  a political figure, a soap star, sports idols,...

"Falles" will be burnt tonight at midnight in Valencia.
